Certifications

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) certifies fan categories on star rating, ranging from 1 to 5 in the ascending order of energy efficiency, and provides ratings to products registered with the Bureau. This rates on 1-5 scale, with 1 star labelled fans being the least energy efficient and the 5 Star fans being the highest efficient.

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Power, Government of India established under provisions of the Energy Conservation Act 2001, to promote the efficient use of energy and its conservation. The Government of India set up the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on 1st March 2002.
